About Us
Some of the individuals were sitting down discussing how they can help the community of Magakala to overcome some of the community problems that affect the community daily.
They then finally came with an idea that is the only way to communicate with the community which is through radio. Secondly, they established radio around Magakala (Moroke Village) under Fetakgomo-Tubatse local municipality which was firstly went On-Air on the 03rd of July 2023 which was applauded and appreciated by the community. That’s where the radio was named MAGAKALA RADIO STATION in short is MAGAKALA RADIO. The radio is broadcasting 24 hours.
SERVICES, BROADCASTS, LANGUAGES & MUSIC
We serves with our hearts to serve the community with broadcasting services of 70% local content and 25% national content as well as 05% international content which is news and entertainment, using 85% Sepedi language and 15% English language. We play various music genres that are intensively enjoyed in our broadcasting area such as Wedding songs, Sepedi Tradiotional Songs, Amapiano, Kwaito, Afro-Pop, Gospel, Reggae, Hip-Pop and Pop from the 80’s, 90’s and now. We also offer programmes that seek to educate, empower, inform and entertain.
