Univen Radio is celebrating 20 years since its inception on 05 September 1997. The Community Radio Station is located in Thohoyandou at the Thulamela Municipality. The Station’s broadcasting radius covers the Vhembe and Mopani district municipalities, Mutale local municipality, and North of Kruger National Park on the eastern side. Univen FM has been broadcasting for 20 years successfully and continues to serve its surrounding communities. The station strives for excellence in quality programming, contributes towards skills development and training and provides the platform for the district to address and understand issues of politics, agriculture, sports, gender, ethnicity, economics, youth development, women and children, education, entrepreneurship, religion and race. The station has been at the forefront of imparting skills and work knowledge in programme production, script writing, marketing and sales, presenting, news reading, administration, secretarial, technical, human resource, advertising, music, events management and journalism disciplines. Currently, the station is in the process of rebranding We have produced seasoned radio personnel that are currently working for commercial stations and the public broadcaster Frequency:   99.8 FM Coverage Areas: Across Vembe District and other parts of Mopani District in a 100km Radius  LSM Group:   1 – 5 Age Group:   Primary Group: 16 – 35, Secondary Group: 35 and above.
